Earlier this month we celebrated our 21st Birthday! That’s right baby, Atlantbh is now of legal age in every country. Usually, we celebrate with our Atlanters by having a big party with lots of food, music and dancing. But things have been different lately. 2020 happened. It’s still happening. So, we find ourselves working from home. Now, we are more than happy to do our part and stand in solidarity with our global citizens by staying in as we all go through these trying times. However, that doesn’t mean the party has to stop. So, while we may not be able to dance the night away with each other, we still have 21 reasons to dance and enjoy the music – in style. That’s why Atlantbh gifted every one of our Atlanters a pair of AirPods Pro, to thank them for being part of our journey and for continuing to make things look easy, together. Check out our 21 reasons and maybe you’ll want to dance too. We have the best team - does this really warrant an explanation? We would not be as successful without the hard work and dedication of our Atlanters. They are reason numero uno, always and forever. Which brings us to, numero dos; We value Atlanters over everything else - if we didn’t they wouldn’t be as committed to making things look easy with us. We have the best view - it isn’t always about looks, but it sure doesn’t hurt to have something nice to look at.  We kept hiring, growing by 20% in 2020 - Every cloud has a silver lining and we made sure that 2020 would be memorable for other reasons. Our commitment to steady growth allowed us to hire more fabulous talents - and we’re not stopping any time soon. We can work from anywhere - a change of scenery can do a world of good, that’s why we have always prided ourselves in offering a work from anywhere policy.  We provide student scholarships - and 2020 was no exception, because now more than ever we need to invest in the future. We continued to educate young talents through our ABH internship - formal education + practical experience = ready to take on the world. We’re here for that! Unlimited vacation - nothing new here folks, we’ve always found it too tedious to count how many days off our Atlanters take. We rather keep track of their achievements (spoiler: we do).  We work with leading global clients - yeah we do, no shame in a little self praise. We offer an attractive maternity package - we respect all our mama bears and know that these superheroes need all the support they can get. We got you. We have flexible work hours - again, who’s counting? When it comes to time and vacay days, we really aren’t very good with numbers - and we don’t want to be. We support young athletes - because they need some love too! We also love cheering them on - it’s a question of pride really, and we’ve got loads of it. We conducted over 500 interviews in 2020 - how else did you think we were able to hire so many new Atlanters? These are the kinds of numbers we like to track. We also like to give as many applicants a chance to chat with us as possible. We created a viral marketing campaign to support B&H tourism - by viral, we mean v i r a l. Famous Bosnian athletes like Edin Dzeko joined our mission to support B&H tourism when the covid-19 pandemic first broke out and hit businesses the hardest.  We support local small businesses - because we are an equal opportunity supporter and we need to show some love to small local brands, especially now when things are so uncertain.  We offer an education budget and benefits - we believe in lifelong learning and support our Atlanters in their search for knowledge.  We think and act green - #ABHGoesGreen, from recycling to sustainable business practices.  We mentor the next generation - every new Atlanters gets a big buddy to mentor them on the job so they can integrate faster. 40% of our Atlanters are women - because equality. What is Atlantbh's Virtual DevDay? The DevDays workshop is a web app development workshop that gives participants the chance to see what it is like to work in a real project team on an actual project with client needs and inputs. Project teams will consist of four positions: Software Engineer, Test Engineer, UI/UX Designer, and Scrum Master/Product Owner. While there is a lot of information about the different roles available in the IT industry, very rarely do young people get the chance to test out these positions before they commit to them. The DevDays workshop is sort of like job shadowing, where you get to try out a position of your choice with no career commitment because guess what, this is just trial-and-error for your future career choice. Basically it’s time to Fake it ‘till you make it! In previous years, we've held our DevDay workshops throughout the country, from Bihać to Sarajevo, and last year we held the first-ever Virtual DevDay. Since we got a great feedback after our virtual event, we decided to do it again this year as well. Education has no limitation and we are committed to providing opportunities to enthusiastic future IT superstars. What positions can I apply for? Anyone can apply with full or partial teams, or as individuals. For those who don’t have a full team, Atlantbh will match them with other participants in the same situation. The positions include: Software Engineer – You will be required to build a UI interface by creating components and templates, based on a provided design mock-up, coupling them into a functional frontend application. You will be expected to implement new features and fix bugs on the existing application codebase. You will also work with the rest of the team to ensure it’s done correctly, according to specifications and possibly design. You will be working with technologies such as Ember.js, Java Play, HTML, and CSS. Requirements: You are familiar with the basics of OOP, proficient in at least one programming language, and familiar with code versioning tools, such as Git. QA/Test Engineer – You will be expected to quickly adopt domain knowledge of the application, understanding how it functions, and the purpose of its features. You will improve and extend the provided test suites as well as write functional test scripts for the application. You will also make use of both manual and automation testing to detect and eradicate bugs. Requirements: You are a detail-oriented person who can communicate well, ready to challenge or question the developer when needed. UX/UI Designer – You will be required to gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with the product owner and engineers. You will illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps. You will design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets. Requirements: You are a creative person with out-of-the-box thinking and a strong understanding of design rules and user functionality. Product Owner – You will be expected to organize and manage your team’s tasks using Agile Project Management principles. You will assign tickets and ensure that they are completed according to schedule. You will be the main channel of communication between your product team and the client, ensuring that your team produces what the client wants, all while optimizing processes. Requirements: You are highly organized, have strong communication skills, and understand the different roles in a project team. When is Atlantbh's Virtual DevDay? This year’s Virtual DevDays will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of February, online. Applications are currently open and future participants can apply here by February 10th, 2020. The year started like any other. We had plans at Atlantbh, big plans. 2020 marked our 20th anniversary and we were going to celebrate in style. Then the world stopped. (more…)

Hype believes that the companies and individuals they hire should have a direct and seamless engagement platform. Staffyourself is a freelancing platform that is tailor-made to the hiring criteria of the promotional industry, to the specific needs of the talents they hire and to the nature of short-term engagements. Writing code is not enough to launch a product The idea of implementing Staffyourself sat at the Hype advertising roadmap for nearly two years. Initial attempts failed as Hype tried to work with software companies narrowly focused on engineering implementation. Our approach was to help Hype perform a combined conceptualisation, implementation and product launch, which in-itself proved to be crucial in moving the idea forward. Product Design Sprint makes a vision grow into a product Staffyourself was our first opportunity to implement the Design Sprint concept on a blank product. Together with a client representative, the product and development team engaged in three, five-day sprints during which they conceptualized, prototyped and validated the product from the ground up. We were able to produce a MVP prototype after just three sprints. The Design Sprint process resulted in the client feeling reassured of Atlantbh’s expertise and certain that we were the right partner for the project. The process also left the whole team feeling confident that the product would be understood by users and that it was ready for development. The MVP was then developed in 100 days and released to production. Five days after, the first people were hired through the platform.
